Dear Little Ram Families,

My name is Lauren King and I am honored to serve as the principal here at our early literacy campus. Throughout my career, early literacy has always been a passion of mine. The ability to read well promotes equity, opens the door to endless possibilities, and serves as the foundation for the rest of a child’s life. At Kae Avenue, our goal is to help all of our students become active readers by the end of 1st grade. We do so through research-based, high-quality reading instruction that aligns with the principles of the Science of Reading and targeted interventions for all grade levels. We also promote a strong emphasis on social-emotional instruction as our young students learn how to respectfully and courageously interact with the world around them. We are extremely proud of the success our students have experienced and continue to experience at Kae. 

No one will deny that the last few years have been challenging. Times have been tough but so are we! This year is all about bravely facing challenges to develop a better future. As a team of families, teachers, and community members, we will do just that while making sure our kids get the best education possible! We are Little Ram Strong!
