Whitehall City Schools Board of Education President, Blythe Wood, announced yesterday that she will step down as member of the board of education effective February 21st, 2019. Wood, who has shown significant dedication to both the Whitehall community and to literacy, has accepted a new and very demanding job as associate director with the Children’s Dyslexic Center in Dublin. Whitehall City Schools is one of 373 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 9th Annual AP® District Honor Roll.  To be included on the 9th Annual Honor Roll, Whitehall City Schools had to, since 2016, increase the number of students participating in AP while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher.
